At our practice we handle anything with the foot and ankle including, fractures and sprains of the foot or ankle, ingrown toenails, hammertoes, bunions, lacerations, diabetic foot care, joint replacement and arthritic surgery, orthotics, treatment of infections, and heel pain.
Dr. Kuvent moved to Arizona from Portland, Maine just 2 years ago where he ran a successful practice for over 20 years. He graduated with honors from The University of Rhode Island with a BS degree in Pharmacy. His doctorate of Podiatric Medicine was obtained from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He completed a surgical residency at Roger Williams General Hospital which included training in Podiatric Medicine, Surgery, Trauma, Orthopedics, and Sports Medicine. Dr. Kuvent is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a fellow of American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American College of Podiatric Medical Review.
Podiatrists who are certified in Foot Surgery by the ABPS are specifically trained to diagnose and perform complex surgical treatments of the foot and ankle. Each ABPS board-certified Podiatric Foot Surgeon has completed four years of Podiatric Medical School.They are an integral part of the health care team, and combined with all other podiatric physicians, currently treat the majority of foot-related medical issues in the U.S. Orthopedists are the second largest providers of foot-related medical issues in the U.S.
